Driving Force

The Catholic Church has played a vital role in the field of education, Health care and Social Service. In tune with the common policy of the church, the Archdiocese of Thrissur has an excellent track record of a century in these areas. Education was the prime concern of the authorities of the Diocese ever since its inception. Started with St.Thomas high school in 1889 , the ministry had a non stop race and today it has a number of establishments under its umbrella including 6 aided and 17 unaided colleges and many professional institutions in addition to a large number of schools of various levels. St.Thoams college,Maha Jubilee Training College and Jubily Mission Medical College are prominent among them. In the field of technical education, the Diocese has made its contribution establishing Algappa Polytechnic college, Thrissur and a number of Technical Training Institutes. Despite the above, different congregations of Nuns and Priests own educational Institutions under the religious jurisdiction of Archdiocese of Thrissur.

The college, from its very inception is striving consistently to achieve the above mentioned goals and hope to grow in leaps and bounds.
